Interview With Julia Andersen

Hey Guys!

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Instagram Fashion Blogger Julia from @juliacaroline_a/. To see her blog and content go check our her Instagram account and show her some love :)

1.     Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging after going through serious hair loss caused by emotional stress. My Instagram page became a safe place where I could post content that made me feel better about myself.

2.     What is the best thing about blogging?

Blogging is great because it allows people to express themselves in numerous ways. My Instagram page is, for me, a place where I post positive content and where I can be myself.

3.     Who inspires you the most?

My answer may seem basic but the two people who inspire me the most are my parents. My mother is always here to keep me grounded but she still encourages me to be ambitious and to go after the things I desire in life. My dad is an inspiration because he works hard to achieve and gives so much to the people he loves.

- Fashion wise, the people who inspire me the most are Grace Kelly for her sense of elegance and natural beauty.

4.     How do you come up with ideas for content?

My Instagram content varies. If I am in a happy mood and feel inspired I will get ideas of what I can post in a near future. I also like to be spontaneous and snap a picture here and there that I will most likely post. Occasionally, I look at content of other bloggers that also inspire me. However, if I feel a little down, I usually leave my page aside for a bit until I feel better again as I wish to transmit positive vibes through my content.

5.     What would you change about the blogging community?

Something I find a shame in the blogging world, is how big bloggers, who originally had their own ideas, style, and content, are now sponsored by big brands which lead them to posting expensive outfits that no one can really afford. My favorite content by the big bloggers are not the fashion week looks that are outrageously expensive but rather the casual everyday street looks.

6.     What advice would you give to people starting a blog, specifically a fashion blog?

The best advice I can give to any person who wishes to start a blog is to be yourself and to post things that make you happy.

7.     What was it like participating in your first modelling contest?

Participating in my first modeling contest was a lot of fun because it was very unexpected! I never really intended to become a model later in life but I was curious to see what the experience would be like.

8.     What are your favourite blogs to read?

I do not really read many blog but I love browsing through certain Instagram profiles such as Kristina Bazan's page or Negin Mirsalehi. I love their content.

9.     Do you prefer flats or heels?

Heels are a lot of fun but Ideally, I prefer wearing flats. A personal favorite are the classic ballerinas by Chanel.

10.   Bright coloured or plain coloured tops?

I like plain colours such as black, white and grey but sometimes bright colors are fun! Especially in the summer.

11.   What’s your favourite clothing brand?

A lot of my clothes come from Zara. However, one of my favorite designers for classic clothing is Tory Burch.

12.   What’s your favourite time of year?

My favorite time of the year is spring. I adore the transformation of cold winters into colorful springs.

13.   What’s your favourite quote?

One of my favorite quotes is: happy girls are the prettiest.

14.   What is your favourite thing to do in the summer?

In the summer I like spending time outside and going for evening drinks with friends. I also like to go to warm places for a week or two but am more of a city girl in general.

15.   Being interviewed by your favourite magazine Elle must have been amazing. What was the experience like?

Being interviewed for Elle was an incredible experience indeed. A lot of fun and I appreciated it a lot as I got to express my fashion preferences and inspirations clearly.

16.   If you were stranded on a desert island what 5 items of clothing would you take?

If I were on a desert Island I would take a bikini, (sunglasses even though it isn't considered as clothes) a pair of shorts, a light sweater, and a white t-shirt.

17.   What is the most important thing you would tell your followers?

The most important thing I would say to anyone is: be true to yourself, be a loyal and honest person , don't let negative people or negative thoughts influence you and fight hard for what you want in life.

Go follow Julia's Instagram :)

See you soon lovelies!

Amy xx
