Decisions, Decisions, Decisions....

For the majority of my life people have all made my decisions for me until now. I'm currently in Year 11 and deciding whether to go to college or my school's sixth form. I've decided I want to aim to be accepted into my school's sixth form and take A-Levels. So on Tuesday night I went to the sixth forms open evening to see what A-Levels I can choose from and I have to say I'm even more lost than I was before I went to the open evening. I have no idea what I want as a career and I have no idea if I want to go to university or not so I have no clue at what to do!

I have so many options to choose from and in one way I want someone to choose them for me but in another I want to  make my own decisions and do something I want to do. My biggest fear is that I pick subjects that I will regret and will be a waste of time.

To help I've decided to go see my schools careers adviser to see if she can shine any light on the situation and help me pick what I want to do.

Urrrggggg I hate having to make huge decisions! A lot of my friends know what they want to do as a career for example one of my friends wants to be a teacher so she knows what A-Levels she needs to take and what university she wants to go to and what degree she wants to take and then there is just me that has no clue :(

Another of my fears is that I will have a job that I don't enjoy and I get up every morning regretting my decisions. I don't want to have to do something just because I need the money. I want to end up doing something I enjoy and I'm passionate about and motivated by.

I hate having to make huge decisions!

See you soon!

Interview with Stacey from Beautiful Solutions

Stacey is the very popular and well known blogger of Beautiful Solutions. I interviewed her asking several questions about blogging and several beauty and fashion related questions.

1. What important tips would you give to beginner bloggers?
I think one of the best things you can do as a newer blogger is to read lots of other blogs. While you should never copy others, reading other people's posts will more than likely help to inspire you to come up with your own topics. It will give you an idea about what people like to read, and the style that blogs tend to be written in. My early posts were very long with no pictures and written in the same formal style I used to use in my university essays; while you can write your posts however you want, to be honest a more casual tone with large clear pictures is going to appeal to a lot more people. You can find the most recent popular posts in the blogging community by going to Bloglovin.com, and clicking 'popular posts' along the top of the page.

2. What is the best thing about blogging?
The best thing about blogging is that you have your own little space to be as creative as you like. You can write about whatever topic interests you most and share your content with likeminded people. It's completely free and is such a productive hobby to have, when you're bored rather than just killing time sat online doing nothing you can write up a blog post and have something worthwhile to show at the end of it. It also looks great on your CV when applying for jobs, as it shows motivation, dedication and creativity.

3. What inspired you to start a blog?
In my last year of university I started freelance writing to earn a bit of extra money. I've always loved writing and as much as I enjoyed it I didn't like always having to write in such a restrictive way, and wanted to branch out into writing topics I'd chosen myself. I've always been into makeup and beauty and found this is what I loved writing about the most, so I started looking for a place to publish my writing online.

4. How often do you blog?
It completely depends, I have stages where I blog every day and others where I blog once or twice a week. At the moment I probably post about five times a week.

5. How long have you been blogging?
I started by blog in either May or June 2012, so coming up to eighteen months now.

6. What is your favourite make up brand?
Such a stereotypical blogger answer but it has to be Mac. There are so many products, finishes and colours I could quite easily only use Mac products (if they weren't so expensive that is- ha!)

7. What is your favourite hair product brand?
I use so many different haircare brands I really couldn't choose. Although I'm quite partial to Dove products from the highstreet and Macadamia for higher end haircare.

8. What is your favourite shop?
I buy online a lot, and so I'm not sure that places like Very, Asos and eBay count as actual 'shops.' The city where I live has a huge Primark and so do like having a look in there whenever I'm in town. I love Debenhams for the high end makeup counters!

9. What is your favourite accessory to add to an outfit?
Definitely scarves at this time of year! I'm also a big fan of statement jewellery and usually wear either a long necklace, a load of stacked bracelets or a big ring pretty much every day.

10. What is your favourite make up product?
At the moment it has to be my Mac palette, I bought a 15 pan eyeshadow palette a few weeks ago and so far I have six eyeshadows in it. I'm planning on filling it by early next year, but as Mac has so many amazing shades it's difficult to know which ones to go for!

Conor Maynard's Book Signing

Yesterday on Tuesday 29th October 2013 I met Conor Maynard at his book signing in Derby Westfield Shopping Centre. I went to the event with my two friends and we had such a good time!
When he arrived (early) everyone just stood up from sitting down in this sectioned off area and girls started screaming and crying and for once I managed to contain my joy and not get emotional but I couldn't stop shaking.  It was weird with all the camera people looking at you with all these cameras and all these security men around but it was so fun! Conor even made us all sing happy birthday to a girl called Natalie which was really cute!

I thought that I might have to queue for hours but I was at the front of the queue half an hour into the event. When I was near the front  I was shaking and didn't know how to react and what to say but when I got to him it was so normal and I asked him how he was and it was as if I was talking to a friend. We had a hug and a picture and he even asked my friend to design him some shoes because he loved the ones she had designed for herself. I loved every moment and Conor Maynard is so lovely.  He is obviously very busy and had to get through so many other people so I had to say bye and hurry off but I hope I'll get to see him again!
It was so much fun!

My Make up Routine

Some new purchases

Yesterday my best friend and I decided to go shopping to Westfield and decided to spend some pennies!

First I went into New look and their Autumn collection is amazing! It took me forever to choose what to buy, there were just too many jumpers and tops I wanted. Eventually I got it down to one jumper and I love it! The wool is so soft and it is so comfortable.

We then went into Topshop and there are so many stunning tops in their range at the moment. I tried on a black lace top and the white flower lace top below, but decided to go with the white one because it suited me much better than the black one. What I love about this top is the flower pattern and the slightly see through back.

After going into Topshop, we strolled past H&M and decided to have a browse. I couldn't really find anything in the sale but found this really comfy basics long sleeve top. I've been looking for a long sleeve top in a natural colour for ages and finally found one yesterday.

Going past the aroma shop I knew I had to go in, so went over to the Yankee candles and the smell was overwhelming. There we so many mixed smells of autumn, summer, winter and fruity fragrances. I brought the spring range candle called 'Honey Blossom'. It smells amazing! I'm definitely going to have to buy the jar!

Going into River Island I wasn't really looking for anything in particular so just wandered around until I saw these midi rings and I knew I had to buy them! I have been looking for a midi ring for ages. It feels really weird due to the fact you feel you have a ring on that is too small and is going to fall off but I love it and I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Overall I'd say money well spend!

What did you do this weekend?

Favourites at the moment

Favourite Song- My favourite song at the moment is Clarity by Zedd ft. Foxes

Book I'm reading at the moment- At the moment I'm reading Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks. It is about the first World War and one man Stephen Wraysford and what happened before the war, during the war and after the war. I've been reading it for ages now but it is so well wrote and  so  powerful, its so moving and has made me cry a few times.

Favourite film- The other night I saw the movie 'Snow White and The Huntsman' and it was amazing! I have to say it is the best film I have seen in a long time. I think Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth are perfect for the roles of 'Snow White' and the 'Huntsman'.

Favourite programme- I have a lot of favourite programmes but my absolute favourites aren't currently on the television. So I'm watching them on boxset. Therefore, my favourite current t.v programme has to be Educating Yorkshire on  Channel 4.

Favourite shop- Recently I've been buying more beauty products than clothes so my favourite shop at the moment has to be Superdrug, they do so many good deals especially on my real technique brushes and Rimmel make up.

Favourite bag- The bag I'm currently using all the time is a Primark satchel bag in a brown tan colour. It medium sized and great for what I want to carry around.

Favourite outfit- My favourite outfit which I keep constantly wearing is my Matalan knitted cardigan,  Primark dragon fly collared blouse, black cropped top, h&m  black leggings and burgundy converse.

Favourite app- I have been using the Sleep Time app a lot recently. It calculates your sleep pattern and how efficient you sleeping is. I love seeing what I slept like the night before!

Favourite perfume- It isn't really a perfume its a body spray but either way I'm loving the Soap and Glory 'Mist You Madly' body spray.

Favourite shoes- My current favourite shoes have to be my burgundy converse. I got  them off my cousin because she never wore them and I have to say I love them. They are comfy, a great colour and they are such good quality. I think I'm in love!
