Ashbourne Breast Cancer Walk

Hoodies from 2010 and 2011 that I wore, which were sold to help raise money for the charity and a medal that you are awarded with for completing the walk.

So, yesterday me, my best friends and hundreds of other people walked around Carsington reservoir to raise money for the Breast Cancer Unit at Royal Derby Hospital. Every year the walk takes place around May time and each person who takes part in the walk donates money towards the charity.

The walk is 9 miles and takes on average 3 hours to walk. Both men, women, children and dogs take part. People dress in tutu's, fancy dress, onsies of all kinds in the colour pink to add some fun to the walk. The organizers Claire Brennan and Josie Winbow organize the walk every year and each year its great to take part in. The atmosphere is great and everyone enjoys themselves. By the end you are told your time and rewarded with a medal. This year it was the 5th year the walk took place and I've walked it every year for 3 years.

It was amazing to take part in and I can't wait till next years walk.
Thank you to everyone who organized the event :)
