Festival Survival Kit

Recently me and my besties went to a local music festival in Derbyshire called YNOT and it became apparant what was an essential when packing for a 3 day festival including camping. There have also been a lot of festivals again this year so here is my survival kit for you festival goers.

  • Hand sanitizer: This is such a must! Especially when the portaloo toilets run out of hand sanitizer. It helps you out in desperate times and makes you feel so much fresher.
  • Tissues: You can easily put them in your fanny pack or down your wellies for when desperate times come to desperate measures.
  • Wipes: Nothing better than some wipes to freshen you up after a long day and to remove your make up when going to sleep.
  • Black bin bag: Instead of leaving your wellies outside while your asleep putting them in a black bin bag and putting them at the bottom of your tent is the best way to not get your wellies stolen and to keep them dry.
  • Suncream: Even though it rains nearly everyday here in England you never know when the sun will make an appearance so best to take it just in case.
  • Big jumper: I never realised how cold it could get at 3am in the morning. A big woolly jumper is a huge must for when you go to sleep unless you want to freeze.
  • Long wear foundation: Seeing as you will be raving all day and having all sorts of weather conditions going on a long wear foundation will be your best friend.
  • Warm clothes: Wearing shorts and wellies is what most people wear to a festival but when it gets cold at night you are going to want to get changed into some snug warm clothes.
  • Wellies: There will be a 50/50 chance of rain when going to a festival in England and seeing as they are in fields wellies will need to be worn.
  • Waterproof: Come on it's England! Everyone should pack a waterproof.
  • Toilet roll: Believe me toilet roll does not last long in a portaloo toilet. So having your own is a luxury.
  • Torch: When it gets dark and your looking for the portaloo a torch will be a must unless you have an iphone where you can just use the flash.
  • Small mirror: Just to check that you still look okay throughout the day.
  • Paracetamol: For when you have a headache and when you start getting cold symptoms from the rain.
  • Sunglasses: Even though it rains the sun may come out at some point so sunglasses will be a must for them outside arenas.
  • First aid kit: There is always that one person who falls over or hurts themself so be the good friend and be prepared.
  • Throat Lozengers: After screaming and shouting a cough sweet or throat lozenger will help you out loads!
