Hey Guys!
⭐Welcome to Day Six of Blogmas ⭐
I'm obsessed with Christmas, which you can probably tell by now and there is nothing better than visiting a Christmas market! They are the best places to grab a glass of mulled wine, try out different market foods, buy cute little trinkets and get into the festive spirit.
The Christmas lights in Newcastle were turned on the evening of 8th November, and the following weekend the Christmas market opened around Monument. Since then Northumberland Street and Monument have been heaving with people doing their Christmas shopping, looking around the Christmas market and going on the rides that have been staggered on Northumberland Street outside the shops. If you live in Newcastle or near make sure to check out Fenwick's Christmas window display of The Snowman, it is the cutest and they shoot fake snow from the rooftop to make it seem like it is snowing outside ❤
The Newcastle Christmas Market isn't as big as other Christmas markets but they have some great stalls with loads of food and snacks to choose from!
For Arts & Crafts, they have stalls with art pieces, scarfs and hats, little trinkets, stocking fillers and some adorable Christmas decorations like wreaths, reindeers made out of wicker, Christmas lights and cute little Santas. If you are looking for anything in particular for someone who likes arts & crafts then these stalls will be great to check out ❄
For food and drinks, they have two hot chocolate stands, a few different stalls selling gin and alcoholic drinks. There is a crepe stand, Greek pastries, Chinese food, Mexican food including fajitas, Indian dishes, burger and hot dog joints, a Halloumi Wrap stall, a Spanish stall with chorizo and potatoes on offer and a Yorkshire pudding wrap stand (which I'm desperate to try!)
If you are on a date or want to go get some food with friends instead of going for dinner at a restaurant try going to the Christmas Market instead. There are so many different things to try and for great prices as well!
At the Christmas market, they also have little sweet and dessert stalls selling big trays of Bakewell tarts and raisin and cinnamon buns. There are Nutella and fruit crepes, chocolates, biscuits and pastries. There are also huge sweet stalls doing pick & mix. If you have a sweet tooth beware - it is a dessert lovers haven ❤
Other than hot chocolate stalls doing Cadbury's and Bailey's hot chocolate they also have a cute little bar with benches both inside and outside. Serving hot mulled wine for £3.50 and a variety of other alcoholic beverages this cute little bar will get very busy very fast in the evening. I'll have to make sure I visit when it is a little quieter ❣
That is it for the Newcastle Christmas Market. If you are in the Newcastle area definitely pay a visit, treat yourself to some hot mulled wine, some great food and end it will a sweet dessert ❤
I really want to go to Edinburgh Christmas Market, Nottingham's Winter Wonderland and Sheffield's Christmas Market as they look so festive! And they are the closest to where I am at Christmas ❄
Where is your favourite Christmas market and why?
See you tomorrow for Day Seven of Blogmas ❤
