The Fault In Our Stars

Recently I read the novel 'The Fault In Our Stars' and I have to say it is one of my favourite books. I started reading it every night in the past week but then this weekend I couldn't put it down and I finished it. It showed me such emotion. It is so romantic and opened my eyes, I fell in love as soon as Augustus Waters was mentioned and loved him and Hazel. John Green goes into such depth with the the feelings and thoughts of the two characters Hazel and Augustus and It really made me think and step away from the book. I think what really brought it to home was that cancer affects so many people at different ages. I cried, laughed, got angry (especially at Peter Van Houten), and smiled. My friends recommended this book to me and I'm so glad they did. I would recommend this book to anybody, in fact I have recommended it to my mum, cousins, aunties and family friends. It is a book where the characters stay with you. It has really inspired me to raise money for charities that help people who suffer with cancer.

See you soon!

Woolacombe, Devon

A Cliff Railway

Last Saturday, my mum, dad, best friend and I travelled down to Woolacombe, in Devon for a week as it was our schools half term.  For the duration of the week it was lovely weather which was perfect for taking the dog on the beach. Through out the week we visited a number of towns such as Woolacombe town, Mortehoe, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Lynton and Lynmouth. However, we mainly visited the centre of Woolacombe and admired the beach. I loved this one little pub called "Captain Jack's" it was really quiet and off a main road in the centre of Woolacombe and they had the best chip buttys. We couldn't help but take the dog on the beach and paddle in the sea even though Billy (dog) didn't really like how cold the water was but he did love running up and down the beach. A lot of surfers were around as the tide was in and the waves were breaking and rough, I would love to be able to surf but where I live we don't have any beach or sea near us and even if I tried I wouldn't be successful. We also had a shopping trip in Barnstaple at the Green Lanes shopping centre, I didn't really buy much but it's a really nice shopping centre not that many shops though compared to my local Westfield. When I visited Lynton we took the Cliff Railway to the other town Lynmouth. I was so scared it was worse then going on a ride at Alton Towers. When we went to Ilfracombe we were walking around when I saw a whole street with just ice cream shops next to one another so I brought an ice cream then when walking away I dropped my ice cream on the floor. I don't think I've ever got so emotional over a ice cream before. My friend thought it was so funny she put it on twitter an Facebook. Other than dropping my ice cream and having some bad luck I really enjoyed the holiday and loved staying in a caravan at the Woolacombe Caravan Park Twitchen House. It was lovely and my friend and I loved going in the pool and messing around in the arcade.

I think Woolacombe is a perfect place to go on holiday and would recommend it to anybody wanting a nice break.

See you soon :)
