June Favourites

This months favourites include beauty, lifestyle, favourite songs, favourite movie and TV shows. I'm enjoying a lot of things this month so bare with me!

 1. Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer 003 | £5.99

I never thought about using a primer before but after I saw Weylie from the youtube channel ilikeweylie use it along side the Rimmel London BB Cream Matte I thought I'd give it a try and I love it! There is definitely a big difference. It makes your face appear more even and when applying foundation it makes it look more matte and doesn't show your pores, making you have a flawless coverage. I've also noticed it makes your base make up last longer throughout the day.

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo (Floral & Flirty Blush) | £1.99

This is perfect for when you are having a lazy day and don't have the energy to wash your hair. I sometimes can't be bothered to wash my hair  when I'm not doing a lot or staying at home so using this dry shampoo is perfect. It takes seconds to use and makes my hair smell so fresh. Its also a life saver for people who have a similar hair type to me. My hair is fresh for one day but the day after it is instantly greasy and feels dirty so instead of continuously washing my hair and damaging it I use this to freshen it up.

4. Simple Kind To Eyes Soothing Eye Balm | £3.99

I get really puffy eyes in the morning after waking up and the concealer I'm using doesn't seem to help erase my puffy eyes so therefore using an eye cream before going to bed and when I wake up really helps me look awake. The last time I used a Simple product it didn't agree with my face but this eye balm really helps and I wouldn't be able to leave the house without applying it.

5. Vibe Fuchsia Zipp Up Headphones | £11.96

My dad went to the Gadget Show a few months ago and brought me back these headphones because he knows how much I hate it when my headphones are all tangled together and I can't undo them. It has to be the most helpful creation ever! They work by the two wires being put into a zip so that you can zip the wires apart and zip them together so that they don't tangle together. I didn't really explain it very well so if your interested check out this website: http://www.vibecollection.co.uk/earphones/

6.  Bio Oil 60ml | £8.99

I have bad acne scars on my temples, chin and cheeks and on my arms so for ages I was wondering what I could do to help get rid of the scars and then someone told me they had been using bio oil for about 4 months and that it was really working for their scars. So I purchased the 60ml Bio Oil bottle to give it a try before purchasing a bigger bottle and I'm definitely repurchasing. It is one product where I have seen great results with removing acne scars. It does take a while before you can see any results but it works great!

7. Soap And Glory Glam-A-Lot Body Spray | £8.50 (Came in a set)

I have used a lot of Soap And Glory body sprays and perfumes and I like all of them but this month I've been enjoying the Glam-A-Lot Body Spray for an everyday scent. I got it in a box set for my birthday and this is the one I used first. I like to use different perfumes/body sprays on alternate days but this month I've constantly used this body spray.

8. Seventeen Make Your Mark Soft Eyeliner Pen 01 | £3.99

I'm still on the hunt for the perfect eyeliner which I'm yet to find. However, while searching I still enjoyed using this eyeliner this month. Even though it smudges and isn't as dark as I would like it helps make my eyes look bigger and lasts all day so I don't have to touch up.

9. Maybelline New York Dream Touch Lumi Highlighter Concealer 02 Nude | £6.99

I've used this concealer a few times now and love it! When you first apply it on your face it comes out very orange despite that when you blend it the colour becomes lighter and doesn't appear orange anymore. It really does help most blemishes become unseen but unfortunately not all. Additionally seeing as its a highlighter I have noticed it makes my cheeks look more bright so my face doesn't look as dull.

10.  Favourite Songs: (There are a lot)
  • 'Problem' By Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea
  • 'Chandelier' By Marilyn Bailey (Cover Version)
  • 'Piano' By Ariana Grande
  • 'Fantastic Baby' By Bigbang
  • '1AM' By Taeyang
  • 200% By Akdong Musician
These songs are constantly being played on my iPod and are always on repeat. They are so catchy and great to jam along to.

11. Favourite Album:  Akdong Musician Play | £8.99

I love this album I'm constantly listening to it and the songs are so catchy and remain in your head. Some are slow tracks such as 'Melted' and some are really upbeat tracks such as 'Galaxy'. Overall, each song has something different. It is also the first album I have listened to that is folk, I mainly listen to hip-hop and R&B so listening to this album has been very different than my usual preference.

12. Favourite Film: The Fault In Our Stars

I went and saw this in the cinema with my best friend around more than a week ago and the cinema was filled with tears and gasps as you fall in love with the story of Hazel and Augustus. I read the book but the film by far made me cry more. What I love about the film is that its not just a simple love story where they just fall in love and that's it. But it shows the hardship of real life and what people with cancer have to live with and endure.

13. TV Programmes:
  • Two Broke Girls (E4)
  • Triangle (Korean: 트라이앵글) (MBC)
  • The Glorious Day (Korean:기분 좋은날) (SBS)

Drugstore Haul

Even though I'm suppose to be saving money and limiting myself to how much I buy I failed already! I have an obsession with online shopping so recently I brought a few products I've wanted for a long time. Boots always has good offers that draw me in and get me to buy more than I planned.

1. Queen Helene: The Original Mint Julep Masque
I brought this after Bubz from BubzBeauty recommended it in one of her videos. I've also been looking for a good face mask for a while so after reading the reviews I thought I'd try it out. I had to order it from Amazon seeing as my local drugstores don't sell it.

2. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
I love the real techniques brushes I purchased last year so I thought why not try the blending sponge and see if its as good as the other products. I thought about getting the Beauty Blender but knowing that Real Techniques are reliable I wanted to try it out.

3. Maybelline New York: Fit Me! Pressed Powder
I've used the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder but I wanted to look for something else that gave a little more coverage and helped with dealing with oil. My friend has used it before as well and recommended it to me.

4.  Maybelline New York: Cover Stick Concealer
I've been looking for a good concealer for ages and every concealer I've tried so far hasn't given me the amount of coverage I wanted. I have really dark circles under my eyes and none of the concealers I have used have built up enough coverage. I hope this concealer will give the amount of coverage to cover my dark circles.

5. Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Mascara
I've been using this mascara for so long and I love it so much! My eyelashes are really short and straight, they don't curl upwards at all but this mascara really helps extend my eyelashes and make them look fuller than they actually are. If you have straight eyelashes like me I recommend this mascara.

6. Maybelline New York: Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer
I have used this highlighting concealer before and loves how it brightened up my face and gave it a healthier glow. It doesn't wear off after like an hour it lasts for the majority of the day so you don't have to reapply it. The ivory colour was the perfect shade for my skin however the tube is 9g so it doesn't last very long. But I love it so I always repurchase it.

See you soon lovelies!

Summer Series: Summer Nails

Seeing as it is getting hotter here in England and summer is around the corner I thought I would share some of the summer nails I've been wearing recently. In summer I like to wear a lot of bright colours on my nails so by contrasting and mixing different colours it makes it more exciting and vamp up any look. I get bored of just one colour or pattern so I like to use lots of different ones on one nail. I hope this gives you some inspiration for your summer nails!

5 Important Make Up Products

I wear make up most days and use quiet a range of different products but today as I was applying my make up I was thinking which products I use are the most important and came up with 5 make up products which are essential to me when doing my make up.

#1: Max Factor All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation
#2: Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer 003
#3: Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder 003 (Peach Glow)
#4: Seventeen Make Your Mark Eyeliner Pen (Blackest Black)
#5: Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Mascara (Black)

The majority I chose are base products but I have really bad skin and acne prone skin, so I don't feel comfortable having it bare. Therefore base make up products are most important for me. Then next is mascara and eyeliner, they are important for me because without any eyeliner by eyes look really small and I look ill so with the combination of eyeliner and mascara they look at least half decent.

See you soon lovelies!
